Kookaburra

This kookaburra is obviously very tame, used to people handing it food. If you remember the Kookaburra song......
     Kookaburra sits on the old gum tree
     Merry, merry king of the bush is he
     Laugh, kookaburra, laugh, kookaburra
     Gay your life must be.
They really do laugh!
    

Our sculptural plaiting class!!!

It was two days of intense weaving and laughter, with beautiful baskets!! It was a very fun class.

More kangaroos!

Maybe sometime I will get tired of posting pictures of kangaroos, but not yet.

Grampians Texture has started!

Almost 400 of us have gathered for Grampians Texture, a conference in the town of Halls Gap in the Grampian Mountains.

Wendy Golden is the visiting installation artist. Her Welcoming Woman greeted us on our first evening. (She is life-sized.)
